Taraba ALGON Chair Bags Award for Best Performing Chairman
The ALGON Chairman of Taraba state, Bala Bako has bagged the Nigerian Local Government excellence award for the year 2020 as the best performing council chairman in the North East sub region.
The award which was presented by the Medals Magazine, Abuja on Wednesday at the Ibi local government secretariat was given in recognition of the
council Chairman’s efforts at ensuring the security of lives and property of his people and touching the lives of his people .
According to the executive editor of the magazine Ilesanani Olayoriju, the award comes along with a vehicle. He used the opportunity to stress the need for people to appreciate cultural diversity inorder to harness the agricultural potential of the area.
Accepting the award the ALGON chairman described it as an honour done not only to him but people of ibi .
Bala Bako commended the Medal Magazine for recognising his efforts and said this will spur him to do even more.
He appreciated Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku for providing a level playing ground for him.
Residents of the area who spoke on the award said the chairman deserves the recognition.
