The Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, Taraba State Received Directive to reopen Schools by the Executive Governor of Taraba State base on the Federal Ministry of Education annocement in the Country.
The Hon. Commissioner of Basic and Secondary Education Taraba State held a stakeholders meeting to reopen both Public and Private Exist Classes of our Secondary schools as directed by Executive Governor. Thoses in attendance during the stakeholders meeting where Executive Chairman, Primary Education Board, the Executive Secretary Post-Primary School Management board , NUT , ASUSS , ANCOPPS, NAPPS, Director’s and others.
The Honorable Commissioner gave out the messages and guidelines of how schools will base on COVID 19 Federal Government Guidelines to State Ministry of Education.
1. Only Final year students sitting for WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, JSS 3 and Primary 6 in line with Federal Government Timetable resumption.
2. Parents should provide facemask for their Children.
3. School Heads and Teacher’s should adhere to the COVID 19 Guidelines to avoid any embarrassment from the Ministry of Education Monitoring Team.
4. Both Public and Private Schools that failled to follow and abide by the guidelines issued by Federal Government via State Government on Covid 19 such as wearing of Facemasks, Provision of Running Water and Soap, Sanitizer will be dealt with by Taskforce committee.
Finally, the schools will resume on the 4/08/2020 for exist class (final Years Students in our Secondary Schools) WAEC Exams will Start on the 17/08/2020 with General Mathematics, so both Parents and Students should take note.
Equally the the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education Appreciates his Excellency for his impacts on education as he Clock 66 years of his birthday today, and pray that the Excellent service he Has been doing and will continue to do for Taraba State education Sector will take us higher ground in the Nation.
