Taraba State Government Commence distribution of rice seeds.

Government has commenced the distribution of high breed rice seeds across the state.
This was disclosed by the Commissioner for Agriculture Dr. David Ishaya during an interactive session with journalists in Jalingo.
According to Dr. Ishaya, the rainy season has begun and Governor Ishaku’s passion to come to their rescue and also as part of the palliative measures embarked upon by the state government to assist farmers.
He revealed that in a fortnight trucks of fertilizer will be arriving in the state capital for onward distribution to farmers.
He added that the state government is on course to venture into the cultivation of soybeans and cassava to boost farming activities in the state.
It would be recalled that one of the key sectors in the state that Governor Ishaku has given optimum priority from the inception of his administration from 2015 is the agricultural sector.
