YANDANG,
FULANI AND BACHAMA MEETS IN ABBARE
 SIGNS PEACE ACCORD

 The Commanding Officer (CO) invited the three warring communities (Yandang, Fulani of Lau and Bachama from Numan) with three Chiefs in attendance and one represented.
The Chief of Lau, Chief of Sanwi, Bakula and Numan Chiefdoms all made a call to finding lasting peace on the Adamawa-Taraba borders.
Also the Chairmen of Lau and Numan also pleaded for all parties to embrace peace and equally banned the use of motorcycles from 6:30pm to 6:00am in the two LGAs affected as from 21st May, 2020.
The Chairmen also agreed to go back to meet with hunters on how to regulate their activities to reduce panic and confrontations from residents when they see touch light beams and rays at night.
The DPO of Numan insisted that the use of AK47 to graze Cattle contravenes peace accord and must be prohibited and all encroachment squabbles must be resolved in a civil manner without taking up arms.
 
The Commanding Officer of 20 Battalion stationed at Gashaka brought the meeting to a close with strong warnings and words of caution devoid of bias and sentiments. After appealing for calm he firmly charged that defaulters will face the appropriate wrath of the Law. 
The Special Adviser, Dr. Alfred Yahya Kobiba, TDA Leader, Mr. Oliver Zachariah with his Excos and the former Lau LGA NYCN Coordinator, Livingseed Nuyong Anuhu were also In attendance.
The President of YYDC Dr. David Charima was in attendance with his Secretary, Treasurer, Social Director 1 and some youths from Abbare, Komidign, Nyabai and Sayonti in solidarity.
