The Speaker, Abubakar Y. Sulaiman, who visited Governor Bala Muhammed of Bauchi State today after the Supreme Court verdict that affirmed his mandate, said they came to officially congratulate him.
According to the Speaker, he said power belongs to Almighty Allah, of which he gives it to whom He likes, adding that it is high time the people of the state rallied behind the governor.
Abubakar said: “I want to use this opportunity to congratulate the governor of Bauchi State, Sen. Bala Muhammed on his recent victory at the Supreme Court and call on everyone to support the administration for the development of the state.”
In his response His Excellency said, “I appeal to you on behalf of myself and Bauchi State, we will always welcome your cooperation”.
Governor Bala Muhammed added that he was overwhelmed by the Legislators visit.
The governor, however, stated that he accord great respect to traditional rulers and lawmakers, as it is included in almost all the policies in the state.
